Environmental Health

Through agreements with the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services, Environmental Public Health Specialists inspect food establishments, lodging facilities, child care centers, and other environmental public health concerns.  Sewage permits are also handled by the Environmental Public Health Specialist.

Supplies for testing of public drinking water for Total Coliform and E. coli bacteria are available through our office.  All samples must be collected according to instructions and submitted with proper paperwork and payment to Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services State Public Health Laboratories.

If you believe you have an environmental complaint or request for action, please complete this online form. Someone from the Bates County Health Center will contact you within 48 business hours to confirm receipt.
